Bio/CV
Timo is a media artist, engineer, and instructor with a bachelors degree in physics from UC Davis. He returned to graduate school in photography after ten years in web development.
His current art practice injects humor into self-portraits that are imbued with cultural symbolism. The resulting images question culturally constructed standards of identity. Other projects work within cultural institutions to address problematic identity standards and suggest alternatives.
Timo holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in photography from San Jose State University.
